Job Description

We are looking to welcome an inspiring, passionate with their craft interior designer to join our team, initially for two-three days a week on a freelance or project contract basis, with the high potential to extend to a permanent collaboration. A soulful creative in sync with the current tendencies in Design and Art, committed to explore the boundaries of new concepts and ideas, materials, textures.

The ideal candidate would be a licenced freelancer. The position is for our studio in Paris but for the right candidate we would be open to a collaboration at a distance with sporadic monthly one to one meetings. For this reason, only EU candidates will be considered.

In this role you will tap into your boundless creativity to design unique spaces with a particular focus for residential projects and communicating your vision will be a fundamental part of the process. From concept to the final stage of furnishing and decoration, you will have the opportunity to access all project design stages.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • Fluency in AutoCAD and in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential
  •  2D and 3D modelling and rendering/visual skills with any programs/tools of choice [V-Ray, 3Ds Max, Rhino] are welcome so that you can support the draftswomen department if necessary
  • Fluency Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent understanding of FF&E, colour and material specification and development is essential
  • High level of graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
  • Highly self-organised, proactive and time efficient, with proven ability to effectively manage workload
  • Excellent collaboration skills, strong ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly, logically and sensitively with client, contractor and studio team
  • Proven professional experience essential
  • Excellent written and speaking communication skills in English

Desired skills

  • Freehand sketching skills
  • Kitchen  and bathroom design experience
  • Ability to contribute to the preparation of construction documents, including plans, elevations, details and specifications
  • A proficient level of experience in interior design concepts such as space planning, furniture, fixtures, and product research
  • Ability to collaborate with consultants, contractors, suppliers to achieve project objectives
  • Ability to support the principals to develop the client, contractor and design team communications, developing and maintaining strong external and internal relationships
  • Will and ability to contribute to the studio’s culture, initiatives, mentorship and talent development
  • More foreign languages are welcome [Spanish, French]

Currently occupied role: Freelance draftsman/ draftswoman

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced talented draftsman/draftswoman, preferably with minimum 3 years of experience in Interior Design with a focus on Residential Projects. Working principally on technical drawings and being able to produce full sets of detailed drawing packages, this role will support our senior designer on all elements of interior architecture from layout floor plans, elevations to interior details such as bespoke joinery, custom furniture and architectural features. These will be developed ready to be issued to a contractor as necessary.

Initially for two-three days a week on a freelance or project contract basis, with the high potential to extend to a permanent collaboration, the ideal candidate would be a licenced freelancer.
The position is for our studio in Paris but for the right candidate we would be open to a collaboration at a distance with an obligatory one to one monthly meeting. For this reason, only EU candidates will be considered.

Essential skills
• fluency in AutoCAD
• fluency in electrical/plumbing plans
• fluency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• strong design skills with excellent ability to produce high quality presentation visualisations
• mastery of SketchUp for both drawing and rendering required
